Entrepreneur in Residence

Infubator is looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence  (EiR) that will help our startups grow - organically & inorganically. The role will also help Infubator grow with right investments. This is an excellent opportunity to dive into startup ecosystem, to learn the dynamics of engineering emerging technologies & venture investments 

What is Expected from the EiR:

The EiR role require an entrepreneur & intrapreneur mindset that the right candidate should be able to operate with minimum direction. The entrepreneurial aspects of the role will require:

• To support the startups within the Infubator network

  • Helping them defining their competitive advantage & value proposition

  • Supporting the team with technical & business writing in blogs

  • Applying to & executing the necessary communication with prominent accelerators and incubators (i.e. YC, CDL, DMZ, AC)

  • Becoming a voice of our startups & demonstrating the product and/or the service developed by the startup to the necessary parties

  • The identification of & executing the necessary communication with possible investors as well as VC firms that could invest in our startups

The intrapreneurial aspects of the role will require:

• Meeting with new startups and their potential advisors & talent

• Organizing Infubator Meetups where we gather startups, advisors, potential investors & future talent

  • Find the right time/date with the help of Doodle calendar 

  • Building the event link and poster of the event

  • Building the presentation deck of the event

  • Moderating the meetup events

• The identification of & executing the necessary communication with grant providers (i.e. provincial/federal government agencies)

• Supporting the ecosystem that helps Infubator grow

EiR Skillset:

• Excellent communication, coaching, organization, and planning skills

• Three P (Positive, Passionate, Perseverant) mindset that is both entrepreneurial & intrapreneurial

• Ability to identify common vision and strategies to reach there

• Act in a temperate attitude that never underestimates any ideas

• Support the network with ideas, but more importantly with actions

• Open to technology innovation and the change/disruption required with it

• Good understanding of technical architecture (i.e. software dev, databases, algorithms, ML/data science) and business (i.e. finance, economics, strategy, investments) dynamics

• Sustainable ethical & moral values
